The Hanhs came to town.

Crazy Katie, Jeff and Alyssa came to Temecula on Saturday. We had good time. We went to lunch at Red Robin. Boy was that a task 8 adults 3 babies and 1 Nate Cory. Just finding a table to seat all of us. At least RR is a loud restaurant. After lunch the Caveneys did some of their weekend chores. Katie Jen and I went to the fabric store to get ideas for Pinecrest 2009(the planning never stops). Jeff, Pat and Chris stayed home with the kids and played video games. Then, because that is all we do, We went out to eat. We went to a sushi place and as soon as we opened the door Nate covered his nose and said pee-uuu it stinks in here. We all started laughing quietly. It was one of those times kids say the funniest things. Speaking of saying funny things I was at Kohl's the other day in the bra department with both kids and Nate yells at the top of his lungs " Hey mom here are some more of those boob things you are looking for!" I started cracking up and some lady comes around the conner and says that was the cutest thing she has ever heard. He is so funny. Ok back to this weekend, sorry but that was such a funny story. So we knew taking the kids out for 2 meals in 1 day was asking for trouble. Logan slept almost the whole time. His parents got lucky. Alyssa was so good for being super tired, we even had a lady complement us on how good our kids were. Emily made Chris hold her the whole time. Nate was a bit more difficult but we managed to make the best of it. It didn't hurt that Katie, Jen, Pat and I were drinking. The last time Katie and I drank together things were so simple, man how things have changed. We finished up dinner and headed back to my house the thought was to play a game but the kids had a different plan. They were all so tired at the restaurant but as soon as we walked inside they all got a second wind. We spent the rest of the night playing on the floor with the kids and talking about PINECREST WHOOO HOOO! Katie and Jeff had to head out Sunday morning I wish they would have stayed longer but at least we got to see them for a day. I will take what I can get when it comes to spending time with family. I look froward to watching the kids grow up together. I hope they become as close as we all are now. :)

Connors house

Last Friday we went over to Nate's best friend Connors house. We like going over there because I am good friends with Samantha (Connors mom) and Chris is becoming good friends with Andrew (Connors dad). They are expecting a new baby in July so now Emily will have someone to hang with too. When we got there Connor was in his spider man costume and even had one for Nate to wear. We all threw stuffed animals at the boys on the top bunk of Connors new bunk beds. We ate pizza. YUM! We all played with there Wii videogame system. It is sooooooooo much fun. We bowled, hola hooped, headed soccer balls but mostly laughed at each other. I know can't wait to hang out with his BFF again.

Disneyland after superbowl

The day after the super bowl we took the kids to Disneyland. It is so great that we can get up and just say "Hey lets go to Disneyland today!" It was a great trip. Emily was so happy all day. Nathan was his normal daredevil self going on every ride he could. He went on Star Tours for the first time and loved it. We took Emily and Nate to the Tiki Room. Emily loved it and it put her to sleep. Nate was not a big fan he needs constant motion.

We had our first super bowl party on sunday. It was fantastical!!! The kids played the boys yelled and I ate. Whoo hoo.

Movie/ Game night

We started a Movie night about a year ago with Caveneys. We have since added playing a game instead of watching a movie. We have a list on the fridge that tells us whose pick it is. Last night it was loges pick and he told me he wanted to play a game. The Caveneys came over and we all played trivial pursuit pop culture. It was harder than I thought it would be. We had a great time mostly laughing at Caveney. My 2 kids were sleeping and Loges was being is normal happy self just excited to be with people who love him. After all it was his pick so he need to be awake. Next week is Caveney's pick. What will he choose a movie or game?? Stayed tuned to find out.

Family BBQ

Rachie, Nate and Darcy rockin out!

Today we had my auntie Kim, uncle Tom, Cousin Rachie and her gf Darcy over for a BBQ at my house. It was a lot of fun. we bbqed tri-tip, fruit salad and potato salad(thanks Jen). I tried to make mint cheesecake squares. They would have been good if I could have found the mint syrup it called for but oh well at least I tried. Nate loved hanging out with his new bff Rachie they rode thier razor scooters and played football. We also played a little rock band. WHOO HOO.
